Power-cycle several times
Turn the camera on and off a few times, waiting several seconds between attempts, listening for lens motor movement.
You should see: The lens extends, or it remains stuck with no movement.
Check for error messages and card issues
Note any on-screen codes. Try without an SD card, then with a known-good card, in case a card error interrupts startup.
You should see: Either the lens recovers or the same stuck behavior continues.
