Why does a map timestamp show the wrong time or hide the time portion?

Check the layer or field’s time zone settings and turn on Show time if the viewer supports it. Confirm whether times are stored in UTC and only converted for display.

Follow these steps
Inspect one sample value
Click a feature and compare the popup time with the attribute table value for the same record.
You should see: You see whether the full timestamp exists in the data.
Enable show time
In Map Viewer field formatting, turn on Show time if the field supports it.
You should see: The popup shows hours and minutes as well as the date.
Check time zone handling
Review the layer or map time zone setting and align it with how the data was collected or stored.
You should see: Displayed times match expected local or UTC values.
Refresh the map
Save the map, reload the browser page, and recheck the same feature.
You should see: The corrected timestamp display remains consistent.
