Remove the cuff, sit with your back supported and feet flat, and wrap the cuff on bare upper arm at heart level. The air tube should face downward along the inside of the arm, and the cuff should be snug enough that you can fit only one or two fingers underneath.

Retry without talking or tensing
Rest for one to two minutes, keep your arm relaxed on a table, stay silent, and start another reading. Do not move the arm or look at a phone during inflation and deflation.
