How do I change the billing card for YouTube TV on a Vizio TV?

Answer

YouTube TV payment methods are usually updated on a phone or computer with the same Google account, not inside the Vizio TV app. Sign in at the YouTube TV or Google account membership settings, open Membership, and update the card there.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Stop if a site asks you to pay an unlock fee or install unknown software to fix billing.

Follow these steps

  1. Sign in on a phone or computer

On a phone or browser, sign in with the same Google account used for YouTube TV on the Vizio TV. Avoid random links from email or text messages.

You should see: You reach your YouTube TV or Google account home while signed in.

  2. Open Membership payment settings

Tap or click the profile picture, then go to Settings > Membership, and choose Update next to the payment method.

You should see: A screen appears where you can change or add a credit or debit card.

  3. Enter and save the new card

Enter the new card details carefully, save the change, and confirm the membership shows the updated payment method.

You should see: The new card is listed as the active payment method.

  4. Recheck YouTube TV on the Vizio

Return to the Vizio, open YouTube TV, and confirm the service still streams. If a billing notice remains, sign out and back into the same Google account on the TV.

You should see: YouTube TV works on the TV without a billing error, or shows a clearer account message.

Extra tips

What to look for: A prompt to manage billing on another device, Membership or payment settings in the YouTube TV account, and whether the same Google account is signed in on the TV.

Before you change anything: Confirm which Google account is signed into YouTube TV on the Vizio. Have the new card details ready on a trusted phone or computer. Use only official YouTube TV or Google account pages. Never share card numbers or codes with unexpected callers.
