How do I unlock a locked Uniden DECT cordless phone keypad?

Most Uniden DECT handsets lock the keypad to prevent pocket dialing. Hold the keypad lock key (often marked with a padlock or #) for a few seconds until the lock icon clears, then try the menu and home keys again. If that fails, power-cycle the handset on the base.

Follow these steps
Turn off keypad lock
Look for a key marked with a padlock, Loc, or often the # key. Press and hold it for about 2 to 3 seconds until the lock icon disappears or the display says unlocked.
You should see: The lock indicator clears and the menu and main buttons respond.
Check the handset menu for Key Lock
If any soft keys still work, open Menu and look for Settings, Handset, or Security options named Key Lock or Keypad Lock, then set it to Off.
You should see: Key Lock shows Off and normal navigation works.
Reseat and power-cycle the handset
Place the handset firmly on a powered base for at least one minute, then remove it. If needed, remove and reinsert the battery pack for 30 seconds and power the handset back on.

Test after a base restart
Unplug the base for 30 seconds, plug it back in, wait for the handset to reregister, then try Menu and the main button again.
