How do I pay a bill safely through the official account site or app?
Answer
Pay only through the company's official app, website address from a statement, or published phone number. Avoid links from unexpected texts or popups, and confirm the account name and amount before submitting payment.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Scammers often send fake past-due texts with payment links. Use only contacts from your statement.
Follow these steps
Open the official payment channel
From the paper or PDF bill, use the printed website, QR code to the official site, or the company's app from the real App Store or Google Play. Do not tap payment links in unexpected emails or texts.
You should see: You reach a sign-in or guest-pay page that matches the company on your bill.
Sign in or pay as guest
Sign in with your account credentials, or choose Pay as guest / Pay without signing in and enter the account number exactly as shown on the bill.
You should see: The site shows your account balance or payment amount fields.
Enter and confirm the payment
Choose the amount due or another allowed amount, enter your payment method, review the date and confirmation screen, then submit. Save or screenshot the confirmation number.
You should see: You receive a payment confirmation number and the account shows pending or paid.
If login fails, use the statement phone number
Call the customer service number printed on the bill and ask to make a payment or reset online access. Do not call numbers from unsolicited texts about the same bill.
You should see: An agent processes payment or restores access through the official account.

Extra tips
What to look for: The company name and account number on the statement, an official Pay or Billing menu, and any error when a card is declined or login fails.
Before you change anything: Have the latest bill or account number ready. Use the website or phone number printed on the statement. Never send payment details to someone who messaged you first about a past-due account.
