What can I try if Google Maps stops working while finding a place?

Restart Google Maps

You should see: Maps shows the place card for the right address.
Drop a manual pin if needed
Press and hold the exact spot on the map until a pin drops, then use that pinned location for directions or sharing.
You should see: A pin marks the intended place and can be used for navigation.
Update or clear cache
If Maps keeps failing, update it from the official store, or on Android clear the Maps cache in Settings > Apps > Maps > Storage.
