Why aren't business SMS messages arriving from Ukraine or Europe?

Answer

Confirm the business messaging service is active on your numbers, check spam/blocked lists, and ask the SMS provider whether routes to those countries are filtered. Test with a known handset on the same plan.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Be careful with unexpected SMS links claiming to fix international messaging.

Follow these steps

  1. Document failed messages

Record sending number, destination number, time, and any error in the business SMS dashboard or handset. Note whether failures are inbound, outbound, or both.

You should see: You have clear examples for the provider.

  2. Check phone spam and blocked lists

On the receiving phone, review blocked numbers, spam filtered SMS, and any third-party SMS blocker apps. Unblock the company sender if listed.

You should see: Messages are not being silenced locally.

  3. Verify the business SMS product

In the carrier or SMS platform portal, confirm international/EU/Ukraine routes are provisioned and the sender ID or long code is approved. Re-save settings if the product shows pending.

You should see: The portal shows the route as active or identifies a pending registration.

  4. Escalate with delivery logs

Open a ticket with the SMS provider and mobile carrier including delivery receipts or error codes. Ask specifically about filtering on Ukraine/Europe A2P traffic.

You should see: The provider fixes routing or explains a compliance block.

Extra tips

What to look for: Outbound or inbound company SMS involving Ukraine/Europe fails while other texts on the phone may work.

Before you change anything: Gather example numbers, timestamps, and sender IDs for failed messages. Confirm whether the business SMS product shows Active. Do not share one-time codes from test messages with third parties.
