- Do not share account passwords or codes with someone who calls claiming to fix Fiber Phone.
Follow these steps
Restart Fiber networking and phone gear
Restart the Google Fiber router, the Google Fiber phone box, and the cordless base, then wait 2 to 3 minutes for everything to come back online.
You should see: Devices finish restarting and the phone line re-registers.
Place a test call
Call the home number from another phone and listen for ringing on the cordless handsets.
You should see: The home phones ring, or calls still go straight to Google voicemail.
Check which devices are set to ring
In Google Fiber Phone settings, confirm the home phone or adapter is enabled to ring, because the number can ring multiple devices and the home phone may have been disabled.
You should see: The home phone device is enabled for incoming rings.
Ask Google Fiber support to reset registration
If the phone still never rings after restart and ring settings look correct, contact Google Fiber support and ask them to reset the phone box registration.
You should see: Support refreshes the phone box and ringing returns.

Extra tips
What to look for: A small Google Fiber phone box, calls going to Google voicemail, cordless phones that never ring, and Fiber Phone device ring settings
Before you change anything: Identify the Google Fiber router and separate phone box. Note whether mobile apps linked to the number still ring. Have the Google Fiber account available if support must reset the phone box. Do not cancel service while troubleshooting.
