Why is my Pyle amplifier remote not working?

Pyle amp remotes usually fail because of dead batteries, blocked IR line of sight, the wrong input/mode, or a remote that is only partly compatible with that model. Confirm batteries and mode first before assuming the amp is broken.

- Do not open the amplifier chassis to test the IR board unless you are qualified; mains voltage is present.
Follow these steps
Replace the remote batteries
Install fresh batteries of the correct type and orientation. Clean the contacts if they look dull or corroded.
You should see: The remote is powered; some amps show a brief indicator when a signal is received.
Check line of sight and distance
Stand within several feet, aim at the amp’s front IR window, and remove objects blocking the path. Dim very bright light aimed at the sensor if needed.
You should see: At least one button produces a visible or audible response on the amp.
Select the proper input or mode
Use the front panel to choose the input you are listening to. Some remote buttons only work in certain modes.
You should see: Remote functions that match that mode begin to respond.
Compare with the manual’s remote map
Open the Pyle manual for your model and confirm which functions are actually remote-controlled. If the front panel works but the remote never does, the remote or IR receiver may be faulty.
