How do I recover a deleted WhatsApp chat on Android?

Follow these steps
Check whether a backup exists
Open WhatsApp if it still launches, go to Settings > Chats > Chat backup, and note the Last backup time and whether Google Drive is linked.
You should see: You know if a backup exists from before the chat was deleted.
Reinstall WhatsApp to trigger restore
Uninstall WhatsApp, reinstall it from Google Play, open it, and verify your phone number with the official SMS or call code.
You should see: WhatsApp shows a Restore from backup option during setup.
Restore the backup
Tap Restore and wait for the Google Drive or local backup to finish before tapping Next. Open the chat list and look for the deleted conversation.
You should see: Chats from the backup date return, including the deleted conversation if it was included.
If no restore option appears
Confirm you used the same phone number and Google account that stored the backup. Without a prior backup, WhatsApp cannot rebuild that deleted chat from the cloud.
