How do I fix No network available after reinserting a SIM in a Ryoko Pro?

Answer

Reseat the SIM carefully, sign in to the Ryoko admin page if available, then test the SIM in another phone or try a known-working SIM in the Ryoko Pro to see whether the card or the hotspot is at fault.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Power the device off before inserting or removing a SIM to avoid damaging the card or tray.

Follow these steps

  1. Power off and reseat the SIM

Turn the Ryoko Pro off, remove the SIM, check for dust or upside-down orientation, then reinsert it firmly in the correct direction and power the unit back on.

You should see: The hotspot boots and either registers on a network or still shows No network available.

  2. Sign in to the Ryoko admin tools

Connect to the Ryoko Wi‑Fi if it is broadcasting, then sign in with the admin account in the Ryoko app, portal, or local admin page to view SIM, network, or plan status.

You should see: You can see whether the SIM is detected, the plan is active, or network selection is stuck.

  3. Cross-test the SIM in another phone

If No network remains, put the same SIM in another unlocked phone that supports that carrier. Then, if available, try a known-working SIM in the Ryoko Pro.

You should see: The test shows whether the SIM works elsewhere or whether only the Ryoko Pro fails to get a network.

  4. Restart and recheck after the working combination

Return the intended SIM to the Ryoko Pro if the phone test passed, restart the hotspot once more, and look again for signal or No network available.

You should see: The Ryoko Pro attaches to the network, or you have clear evidence to contact Ryoko or the carrier with the failed combination.

Extra tips

What to look for: The exact No network available message, and whether the Ryoko Pro allows any network or admin controls after the SIM was reinserted

Before you change anything: Power off the Ryoko before removing or reinserting the SIM. Handle the SIM by the edges and align it with the tray diagram. Have the admin login for the Ryoko portal or local admin page ready if you use one. Do not share account passwords with unexpected callers.
