How do I change an OPPO Watch from Chinese back to English?
Answer
Open the watch Settings menu, find the Language or system language item (often near the bottom of Settings), and select English. If the watch is paired, you can also change language from the official OPPO Watch or Wear Health app on the phone.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- A factory reset removes apps, watch faces, and local data stored only on the watch.
Follow these steps
Open Settings on the watch
Press the crown or swipe to the app list, then open the Settings app (gear icon). If labels are in Chinese, look for the gear rather than the word Settings.
You should see: A list of system settings appears on the watch.
Find the Language option
Scroll through Settings until you find Language / 语言 or a similar system language entry. On many OPPO Watch models it is under system or additional settings near the lower part of the list.
You should see: A list of languages appears, including English.
Select English and confirm
Tap English (or your preferred language), then confirm if the watch asks. Wait for the interface to refresh.
You should see: Watch menus switch from Chinese to the language you selected.
Change language from the phone app if the watch stays in Chinese
On the paired phone, open the official OPPO Watch or Wear Health app, open the connected watch’s settings, and change Device language or System language to English. Sync and check the watch again.
You should see: The phone app pushes the new language and the watch UI updates.
Use factory reset only if language menus are unreachable
If you cannot reach Language on the watch or in the app, follow OPPO’s official reset steps for your watch model, then set English during first-time setup. Pair again afterward.
You should see: The watch restarts to setup and allows English before Chinese becomes stuck again.

Extra tips
What to look for: The Settings gear icon on the watch, then a Language / 语言 option, or a language setting in the paired OPPO Watch phone app.
Before you change anything: Note whether the watch is still paired to your phone in the official OPPO app. Avoid factory reset until language menus have been tried—reset can erase watch data. Charge the watch so it does not power off mid-change. Never share account passwords or codes with unexpected callers asking to “unlock” the watch.
