How do I fix Paramount+ on an LG TV that will not accept sign-in details?

Answer

This usually means the TV is stuck on an in-app download prompt rather than a working Paramount+ install. Installing Paramount+ from the LG Content Store, updating the TV, and restarting often restores a normal sign-in screen.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Do not enter account passwords on unexpected pop-ups or share one-time codes with callers you did not initiate contact with.

Follow these steps

  1. Power-reset the TV

Unplug the affected TV from power for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

You should see: The TV restarts cleanly before you try the app store again.

  2. Install Paramount+ from the LG Content Store

Open the LG Content Store on the TV and search for Paramount+. Install or reinstall it from the store instead of following an in-app download prompt on another screen.

You should see: Paramount+ appears as an installed app on the TV home screen or apps list.

  3. Install TV updates and restart

Check for system or app updates in the LG settings or Content Store, install anything available, then restart the TV and open Paramount+ again.

You should see: The app opens to a normal sign-in or profile screen where you can enter information.

  4. Confirm the network on the failing TVs

If sign-in still will not accept input, open the TV network settings and confirm those two TVs are connected to the same working Wi-Fi network as the TV that already works.

You should see: The failing TVs show a connected network status, or you find a Wi-Fi problem to fix first.

Extra tips

What to look for: A Paramount+ download prompt that blocks typing, plus any message about checking the internet connection, with no useful error code.

Before you change anything: Confirm which TVs are LG models with an LG Content Store. Check that those TVs are on the same working Wi-Fi network as the TV that already works. Avoid paying unexpected fees from pop-up prompts outside the official store. Never share account passwords or one-time codes with unexpected callers.
