How do I fix Jabra hearing aids that lost volume control in the app after a repair?
Answer
When both aids stop responding to volume controls in the Jabra app right after a repair, the Bluetooth pairing is usually out of sync. Removing the aids from the app and iPhone Bluetooth list, restarting the iPhone, then pairing both aids together again usually restores app control.
Follow these steps
Remove the aids from the Jabra app
Open the Jabra app, go to Devices, Connection, or the equivalent pairing section, and remove or forget the current hearing-aid pair.
You should see: The app no longer shows the aids as actively connected.
Forget the Bluetooth entries on the iPhone
Open Settings > Bluetooth, tap the info button next to each Jabra hearing-aid entry, and choose Forget This Device.
You should see: The old Jabra hearing-aid names disappear from the Bluetooth list.
Restart the iPhone
Power the iPhone off completely, wait about 30 seconds, then turn it back on and unlock it.
You should see: The iPhone finishes restarting and Bluetooth is available again.
Put both aids into pairing mode
Follow the Jabra pairing method for your model so both left and right aids enter pairing mode at the same time, usually with open cases or a button sequence from the manual.
You should see: Both aids are ready to be discovered together.
Complete setup again in the Jabra app
Open the Jabra app and run the pairing or setup process for both aids together, then test the in-app volume controls.
You should see: Both aids connect and the app volume controls change the loudness again.

Extra tips
What to look for: Whether the Jabra app still lists the aids, whether iPhone Bluetooth shows them as connected, and whether volume controls are grayed out or do nothing.
Before you change anything: Charge both hearing aids before pairing. Have the official Jabra hearing-aid app installed from the App Store. Note which iPhone Bluetooth entries belong to the aids so you remove the correct devices. Do not share account passwords or verification codes with unexpected callers.
