How do I fix a Samsung TV that only shows No Signal with Spectrum?
Answer
Confirm the TV is on the correct HDMI input, then power-cycle the Spectrum box by unplugging it for about 60 seconds and waiting several minutes after plugging it back in. Recheck the cable connections if No Signal remains.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Stop if a site or popup asks you to pay to unlock an account or install unknown software to restore TV signal.
- Unplug only the Spectrum box power cord for this restart unless a technician asks you to unplug the TV too.
Follow these steps
Turn the TV on and select the Spectrum input
Power on the Samsung TV. Press Source or Input and choose the HDMI port that the Spectrum box uses. Wait several seconds for the picture.
You should see: Either Spectrum video appears, or No Signal remains on the correct HDMI input.
Unplug the Spectrum box for 60 seconds
Leave the TV on the correct HDMI input. Unplug the Spectrum box power cord from the wall or power strip and wait a full 60 seconds.
You should see: The Spectrum box is fully powered off with no lights.
Plug the box back in and wait
Plug the Spectrum box back in and wait 3 to 5 minutes while it finishes booting. Do not change inputs during this wait unless support told you a different timing.
You should see: The Spectrum box lights stabilize and the TV shows the Spectrum guide or live channel, or a clearer error.
Reseat the HDMI cable
If No Signal is still on screen, power off the TV, unplug the HDMI cable at both the TV and Spectrum box, plug it firmly back into the same ports, then turn the TV on again.
You should see: The TV detects the Spectrum source, or you confirm the cable/port needs replacement.
Retry with Spectrum support steps if needed
If the picture still fails after the wait Spectrum already recommended, contact Spectrum support with your account and note that the TV only shows No Signal after a full box reboot.
You should see: Spectrum can check the line signal or schedule a box replacement if the reboot did not help.

Extra tips
What to look for: The exact No Signal message, which HDMI input is selected, and whether the Spectrum box lights come back after reboot.
Before you change anything: Note which HDMI port the Spectrum box uses. Keep the TV on while you restart only the Spectrum box first. Do not pay anyone who claims a remote fee is required to restore TV signal. Avoid factory-resetting the TV until basic input and box restarts fail.
