Why does my Samsung TV have sound but no picture?

Follow these steps
Full power cycle from the wall

Check for a faint backlight failure image
In a dark room, shine a flashlight at an angle on the screen while sound plays. Look for a very dim image or menu.
You should see: A faint image suggests backlight failure; no image at all points elsewhere.
Switch inputs and disconnect external boxes
Use the TV button to open Control/Input if possible, try a built-in app, and disconnect HDMI devices temporarily.
You should see: A picture appears on another input, or every source stays dark.
Reset picture settings if any image returns
If you regain a menu or dim picture, reset picture mode to defaults and retest. If the screen stays dark with sound, contact Samsung support or a TV technician.
