How do I reactivate Mint Mobile after restoring an erased iPhone?
Answer
Update iOS, check Settings > Cellular for a Mint line that is off, restart, then add the line again with Mint’s QR code or in-app eSIM install. Erasing an iPhone often removes the eSIM, so Mint must reprovision it.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Only install eSIM codes from Mint’s official account channels.
Follow these steps
Update iOS
Go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any available update.
You should see: iOS is current before eSIM setup.
Check Cellular settings
Open Settings > Cellular and see whether a Mint line is listed but turned off; enable it if present.
You should see: The Mint line turns on, or no Mint line is listed.
Restart the iPhone
Restart, then recheck signal and Cellular.
You should see: Service returns, or it remains absent and needs a new eSIM.
Reinstall the Mint eSIM
In the Mint app or account, request a replacement eSIM/QR, then go to Settings > Cellular > Set Up Cellular and scan only that official QR.
You should see: Mint appears under Cellular and calls work.

Before you change anything: Have Mint account login ready. Do not delete other working lines until Mint is back. Use Mint’s official app or account portal for QR codes.
