How do I set the month, date, and time on a digital watch?
Answer
Most digital watches enter time-set mode with a hold on the adjust button, then use + and - (or forward/back) to change the flashing value and move to the next field for month, date, year, and time.
Follow these steps
Enter time-setting mode
Hold the Adjust or Set button until a digit starts flashing. If nothing flashes, press Mode until a setting screen appears, then hold Adjust.
You should see: One field on the display flashes and is ready to edit.
Change the flashing value
Use + or - (or the forward/back buttons) to change the flashing number for hours, minutes, month, or date.
You should see: The flashing value changes to the correct number.
Move to the year and remaining fields
Press Mode or the next-field button to advance until the year flashes, then set it the same way before finishing with seconds or 12/24-hour format if shown.
You should see: Month, date, year, and time are all set.
Save and exit
Press Adjust or Set again, or wait for the watch to exit setting mode, so the display stops flashing.
You should see: The watch shows the correct time and date in normal mode.

Extra tips
What to look for: A flashing number on the display, labels such as Adjust, Mode, + or -, and whether the year field appears after the date
Before you change anything: Find the watch brand and model printed on the case or manual. Note which button is Adjust or Set. Avoid pulling a crown hard on a sealed sports watch unless the design uses a crown. Do not force buttons if the case feels stuck or damaged.
