What should I try if a treadmill console stays on Retry?
Answer
A Retry loop is often a console network or software load failure. A full power drain, then a forced console restart, is the first fix before deeper recovery.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Unplug the treadmill before inspecting power or console cable connections.
- Console recovery can sign out iFit profiles or forget Wi-Fi settings.
Follow these steps
Full power drain
Turn the treadmill power switch off, unplug it from the wall, wait at least 60 seconds, plug it back in, and turn it on again.
You should see: The console reboots past Retry, or the same screen returns.
Force-restart the console if buttons exist
If the console has Power and Volume Down controls, hold them together for about 10 to 20 seconds to force a restart, then wait for a full reboot.
You should see: The console restarts and attempts to load the workout interface again.
Retry after another short power-off
Power the console off for 10 to 15 seconds again, then start it once more before changing network settings.
You should see: A cleaner boot occurs after the second drain.
Check network-related recovery
If Retry appears while iFit content loads, connect the console to a stable Wi-Fi network or follow the maker’s offline/network recovery prompts.
You should see: The workout UI loads, or official recovery guidance is needed next.

Extra tips
What to look for: A Retry button or screen that never advances, possibly with system recovery please wait, while some hardware buttons still respond
Before you change anything: Unplug the treadmill before checking cables. Note whether Wi-Fi is required for the workout screen. Avoid repeated unpaid reset services. Have the iFit account password ready only for the official console sign-in.
