Follow these steps
Read the code and URL on the TV
On the TV Hulu sign-in screen, note the activation code and any address or QR code shown (often a hulu.com activate/link path). Keep that screen open so the code does not expire.
You should see: You have the exact code and know which official page Hulu wants you to use.
Open Hulu’s activate-device page on your phone
On the phone, scan the QR code from the TV or manually open Hulu’s official TV activation / link-device page in a browser. Alternatively, in the Hulu app look for Activate a device, Link TV, or Account device settings—not the main Watch tab.
You should see: You see a sign-in prompt followed by a field specifically for an activation code.
Sign in and enter the TV code
Sign in with the Hulu email and password for the account you want on the TV, then type the activation code exactly as shown (watch for O/0 and I/1). Submit or Confirm.
You should see: The phone shows success, and the TV moves from the code screen into the Hulu home screen.
Refresh or restart Hulu on the TV if needed
If the TV still waits on the code screen, press Back, reopen Hulu, or restart the streaming device, then check whether the account is already signed in.

Request a fresh code if it expired
If the phone says the code is invalid or expired, return to the TV, choose Sign in / Activate again to generate a new code, and enter the new code promptly on the activation page.
