Why did a show disappear from my streaming library?
Answer
When a show vanishes from a streaming app, it usually left that service’s catalog, moved to another service, or is hidden by a profile or purchase filter. Search the title across the app and check Continue Watching before assuming an account fault.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Unofficial apps that promise missing shows often contain malware or pirated streams.
Follow these steps
Search for the exact title
In the streaming app, search for the full show name and check Results, Purchased, and Channels tabs if present.
You should see: The show appears with a play, buy, or unavailable notice, or no results are found.
Check Continue Watching and other profiles
Review Continue Watching and switch profiles on the account to see whether the title is hidden on one profile only.
You should see: Either the show reappears on another profile, or it is missing everywhere.
Confirm whether the service still carries it
From a phone browser, check the streaming service’s pages or a reputable where-to-watch listing for the title’s current availability.
You should see: You learn whether the show left the service or moved elsewhere.
Restore purchases or re-add the channel if needed
If the show was an in-app purchase or add-on channel, restore purchases or re-subscribe to that channel with the same Apple or service account.
You should see: Purchased or channel-based access returns, or you confirm the title is no longer offered.

Extra tips
What to look for: Whether search finds the title at all, whether other shows are missing too, and which app or Apple channel was being used.
Before you change anything: Note the exact show name and the app where it used to appear. Confirm you are signed into the same profile and account. Check email for service notices about removed titles. Avoid installing unofficial streaming apps that claim to restore missing shows.
