Why does a Bose Wave Music System say disc unplayable?

When a Bose Wave plays radio but rejects several CDs as unplayable, the discs may be dirty or the optical lens may be dirty or failing. Clean the discs and try a known-good audio CD first; if every disc fails, a lens-cleaning disc or service is usually next.

Follow these steps
Test with a clean pressed audio CD
