Why does a Fire Stick still say subscription expired after I renewed?

After a renewal payment, streaming add-ons can take a short time to reauthorize, or the Fire Stick may still be holding an old expired license. Restart the Fire Stick, sign out and back into the app, and confirm the payment is recognized on the official account page before chasing hardware faults.

Follow these steps
Confirm the renewal on the official account page
Sign in on a phone or computer to the same vendor account used for the subscription and verify the plan shows active through the new end date.
You should see: The account shows paid/active, or reveals that payment never applied.
Restart the Fire TV Stick
From Fire TV settings, restart the device, or unplug the stick for 60 seconds and plug it back in. Reopen the app afterward.
You should see: The app reloads entitlements; expired messaging may clear if activation finished.
Sign out and sign back into the app
In the affected app, sign out, then sign in with the same account email used for purchase, and check subscription status again.
