Why does a Samsung TV show no signal or snow after it was unplugged?

Switch the TV input to the source you actually use (Antenna/TV or Cable, not an empty HDMI), reseat the coax or HDMI cable, then run a channel scan if you use antenna or cable coax.

- A factory reset clears apps and network settings; try input selection and a channel scan first.
Follow these steps
Cycle through inputs
Press the Source or Input button and select the connection you use. Choose TV or Antenna for an over-the-air antenna, Cable if coax comes from a wall or cable service, or the HDMI port for a streaming stick or cable box.
You should see: The TV shows a live picture or a clearer message for the selected source.
Reseat the video cable
Power the TV off, unplug the coax or HDMI at both ends, wait 10 seconds, reconnect firmly, then power the TV back on and reselect that input.
You should see: The connection is solid and the correct input no longer shows a loose-cable style no-signal screen.
Run a channel scan for coax
If you use antenna or cable coax directly into the TV, open Settings, then Broadcasting or Channels, then Auto Tuning or Auto Program, and scan for channels on Antenna or Cable as appropriate.
You should see: The TV finds channels again and they appear in the guide or channel list.
Use a universal remote if menus are unreachable
If the original remote cannot open menus, use a universal remote in Samsung TV mode to press Source, Home, and Menu, then repeat the input and channel-scan steps.
You should see: You can open the input list and settings without the original remote.
