Why does an iPhone say No Internet Connection when Wi-Fi looks connected?
Answer
Forget and rejoin the Wi-Fi network, toggle Airplane Mode, and renew the connection. If only cellular or only Wi-Fi fails, focus on that path; router restart often clears a false “connected” state.

- Do not install third-party “Wi-Fi fixer” apps from unknown links.
Follow these steps
Test Wi-Fi versus cellular
Turn off Wi-Fi and try cellular data; then turn Wi-Fi back on and disable cellular data. See which path actually loads a website.
You should see: You know whether Wi-Fi, cellular, or both are failing.
Forget and rejoin Wi-Fi
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, tap the network info icon, choose Forget This Network, then rejoin with the password.
You should see: The phone gets a fresh IP and apps load again.
Toggle Airplane Mode and reboot
Enable Airplane Mode for 15 seconds, disable it, then restart the iPhone if needed.
You should see: Network services restart and connectivity returns.
Restart the router
If multiple devices fail or the phone still shows captive/no internet, restart the modem and router, wait two minutes, and reconnect.
You should see: The network provides working internet to the iPhone.

Extra tips
What to look for: Wi-Fi appears connected but Safari and apps say there is no internet connection.
Before you change anything: Note whether other devices work on the same Wi-Fi. Know the Wi-Fi password before forgetting the network. Avoid changing random VPN settings you do not use.
