Why won’t XREAL Air 4 Pro AR glasses turn on with an iPhone?
Answer
Many AR glasses need a powered adapter or compatible cable and do not turn on from the iPhone alone the way a simple wired headset might. An Accessory not supported message usually means the phone cannot power or negotiate that accessory path.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Buy adapters only from the glasses maker or a clearly reputable source to avoid unsafe powered cables.
Follow these steps
Check the official power and adapter requirements
Review the Air 4 Pro guide for whether a Beam, adapter, or powered USB-C cable is required with iPhone, rather than a direct cable alone.
You should see: The required connection kit for iPhone is identified.
Charge or power the glasses path correctly
If the glasses or adapter need charging, connect them to a suitable power source first, then connect to the iPhone using the supported cable chain.
You should see: Status lights or display activity appear on the glasses.
Retry on a supported port and cable
Use the manufacturer-supported cable orientation and port. If the iPhone still says Accessory not supported, stop using that cable combination.
You should see: Either the glasses start, or the accessory path is confirmed unsupported.
Test with another supported device if available
If a compatible Android USB-C phone or supported adapter is available, test whether the glasses power on there to separate glasses failure from iPhone compatibility.
You should see: The glasses work on another device, or fail everywhere and need seller support.

Extra tips
What to look for: No power on the glasses, and possible iPhone alerts such as Accessory not supported
Before you change anything: Read the glasses quick-start for iPhone compatibility and required adapters. Confirm whether the glasses charge from a separate cable before use. Use only the official or clearly supported adapter kit. Avoid forcing incompatible Lightning or USB-C accessories.
