How do I fix a Freebox TV that says no channel found after pressing a network button?
Answer
Switch the Freebox player back to the live TV / Freebox input, run the official channel scan or restore TV settings from the Freebox menu, and reboot the Freebox player and TV. The message usually means the box is on the wrong source or the channel list was cleared—not that Free service was canceled.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- A full factory reset can erase recordings and customized channel lists.
- Do not enter Free account passwords on unofficial “repair” sites.
Follow these steps
Return to the Freebox TV source
On the TV remote, select the HDMI input for the Freebox. On the Freebox remote, press the Free/TV or Home control to open live TV rather than a blank network/app screen.
You should see: The Freebox interface or last channel appears instead of an empty tuner message.
Reboot the Freebox player
Unplug the Freebox TV player for 60 seconds, plug it back in, and wait until it fully restarts before changing settings again.
You should see: Menus load normally and the no-channel error may clear.
Rescan or restore channels
Open Freebox Settings for TV / Chaînes and run the channel search or restore default channel list option provided by Free. Prefer the guided Free menu over manual antenna scans unless you intentionally use DTT antenna TV.
You should see: Channels populate again and a known channel number tunes.
Check Freebox connectivity
If IPTV channels still fail, confirm the Freebox has internet (lights/status page). Reboot the Freebox server/router unit if separate, then retest live TV.
You should see: Service returns, or Free’s official support can see a line fault.

Extra tips
What to look for: “pas trouvé de chaîne”; wrong HDMI input; Freebox player home vs antenna tuner mode; network/Wi-Fi icons that changed after the button press
Before you change anything: Do not factory reset until a reboot and channel rescan fail. Note whether internet lights on the Freebox are normal. Use the Freebox remote’s TV/Free buttons to return to live TV. Avoid random “Free unlock” websites.
