How do I get a carrier SIM when one was requested twice and never arrived?

Answer

Check both SIM order tracking numbers with the carrier, confirm the shipping address, and ask support to resend or provide an eSIM / in-store SIM instead of placing a third blind online order. If you must start a new line because the old email is locked, open it as a new account in-store or through official support so the failed SIM shipments are cancelled first.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Starting a brand-new number without closing the old line can leave two lines billing if the old account is still open.

Follow these steps

  1. Trace both SIM orders

Sign in to the carrier account or check the confirmation emails for both SIM requests. Note tracking status, shipping address, and whether either order was cancelled.

You should see: You know whether the SIMs are lost in transit, unshipped, or sent to the wrong address.

  2. Ask for a resend, store SIM, or eSIM

Contact official carrier support, reference both order numbers, and request that failed shipments be closed. Ask them to send a replacement SIM, approve store pickup, or issue an eSIM QR code for the new phone.

You should see: Support gives one clear fulfillment method and cancels duplicate pending SIM orders.

  3. Decide on old email versus new account

If the father's old signup email cannot be recovered, ask support whether the existing line can be moved with ID verification, or whether a brand-new account and number is required. Do not create a third online SIM order until that is decided.

You should see: You have a single account plan: recover the old line or open one new line.

  4. Activate the SIM or eSIM in the new phone

When the SIM arrives or the eSIM QR is issued, insert or scan it, restart the phone, and confirm the carrier name and signal appear under Settings > Network or Connections.

You should see: The new phone shows the carrier network and can place a test call or use mobile data.

Extra tips

What to look for: SIM order confirmation emails, tracking that never moves, and whether the new phone supports eSIM as well as a physical SIM.

Before you change anything: Gather both SIM request confirmation numbers and the shipping address used. Decide whether you are recovering the old account email or intentionally starting a new number. Use only the carrier's official app, site, or store. Never share account passwords with unexpected callers offering to ship a SIM.
