How do I reopen a support chat after the connection drops?

Answer

Reconnect to a stable network, reopen the same support site or app, and use your email confirmation, case number, or chat history link to return to the original conversation. Start a new chat only if the old thread cannot be recovered.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Only reopen support through the official site, app, or confirmation email link.

Follow these steps

  1. Restore a stable connection

Reconnect to Wi‑Fi or cellular and reload the support site or app.

You should see: Pages load normally again.

  2. Return through email or account history

Open the payment, signup, or case confirmation email and use the link or case number to reopen the original conversation.

You should see: The previous chat or case opens, or you see a clear option to resume.

  3. Check chat history in the same account

Sign into the same support account on the official site or app and look for Chat history, Cases, or Messages.

You should see: The interrupted thread appears under recent activity.

  4. Start a new chat with the case details

If the old thread is gone, start a new official chat and include the prior case number, device, and what was already tried.

You should see: A new agent can continue from the saved details instead of restarting completely.

Extra tips

What to look for: Payment or case confirmation email, chat history in the account, and whether the original browser tab or app thread still exists

Before you change anything: Reconnect Wi‑Fi or cellular before retrying. Find any confirmation email or case number from the session. Use the same device and account when possible. Do not send passwords in chat to reopen a case.
