Why does an EM229 Bluetooth dialer drop calls on iPhone?

Reset the EM229, turn off Press Home for Siri / Press and Hold to Speak while testing, and set Call Audio Routing to Automatic. Then re-pair the EM229 and try a short test call.

Follow these steps
Reset the EM229
Follow the EM229 manual to reset or power-cycle the dialer, then leave it ready to pair.
You should see: The EM229 is in a clean pairing state.
Disable press-and-hold speak
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Home Button > Press and Hold to Speak and set it to Off if available.
You should see: The Home-button assistive speak feature is off.
Turn off Press Home for Siri
Go to Settings > Siri or Apple Intelligence & Siri and turn off Press Home for Siri while testing.
You should see: The EM229 button no longer launches Siri immediately.
Fix call audio routing and retest
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing, set it to Automatic, re-pair the EM229, then place a test call by voice.
You should see: The call stays connected through the EM229 path.

What to look for: Voice Control or Siri launching when the EM229 button is pressed, a brief Calling screen, then an immediate disconnect.
