Why are channels missing after switching from Bell MTS to Rogers TV?

Answer

Compare your Rogers subscription with the channel lineup available for your address. The previous provider’s package does not establish what the Rogers plan includes. Current Rogers Xfinity plans have fixed channels, with eligible individual channels or theme packs available as additions; Flex swaps apply only to existing Flex plans.

Follow these steps

  1. Compare the subscription with the missing channels

Check the Rogers order confirmation and current TV plan. For a MyRogers (Shaw) account, follow Rogers’ channel-listing instructions: choose My Services > TV, then View channels in My channels. Compare Current TV channels with Add-on channels. Other account layouts may differ.

You should see: You know whether each desired channel is listed as subscribed.

  2. Check the lineup for the service address

On the same Rogers channel-listing help page, follow the Channel Listings link, enter your postal code, and select Search. Check the exact names of the missing channels. If a channel is absent, ask Rogers to confirm whether it is offered for your service and location.

You should see: You distinguish a channel offered in your region from one that requires further availability confirmation.

  3. Choose the option allowed by your plan

Read Rogers’ current plan guidance. Current plans do not allow substituting fixed channels; eligible channels or theme packs can be added. Ask Rogers which option includes each wanted channel and confirm any recurring charge before accepting it.

You should see: You have a suitable package or add-on option without assuming free substitutions are available.

  4. Use Flex exchange only if the account already includes it

For an existing Flex plan, use Rogers’ Flex exchange guide. In MyRogers, go to Residential > Manage beside TV > Exchange Flex Channels. Select matching numbers of channels to remove and add, then choose Exchange. Use the guide’s separate MyRogers (Shaw) instructions if that is your account type.

You should see: An eligible exchange shows success, or you confirm the desired channel is outside the Flex catalogue.

  5. Report missing access when the subscription already includes the channel

If the channel is listed as subscribed but unavailable on the TV, contact Rogers through your account. Provide the channel name, the plan listing, and any displayed message. Ask support to investigate the difference between the subscription and actual access.

You should see: Rogers can investigate entitlement or explain why the channel is unavailable.

Extra tips

What to look for: The exact Rogers plan name, whether the account uses MyRogers or MyRogers (Shaw), and whether each desired channel is included, offered as an add-on, or absent from the regional list.

Before you change anything: Gather the Rogers order confirmation and missing channel names. Confirm the service address on the account. Do not assume a similarly named plan matches the old provider’s lineup.
