How do I cancel a duplicate item on a SHEIN order?
Answer
Open SHEIN Orders immediately and use Cancel Order if it is still available. If you can only cancel the whole order, cancel it and place a new order for one dress. If Cancel is grayed out because packing started, contact SHEIN chat, refuse delivery if your carrier allows, or start a return after arrival.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Ignore anyone who asks for your SHEIN password to “stop the order.”
- Placing a second order before canceling the first can double your charges.
Follow these steps
Open the order details
Sign in to SHEIN, go to Orders, and open the order with the duplicate dress. Note whether status is still processing.
You should see: You see Cancel or contact options for that order.
Cancel while you still can
If Cancel Order appears, cancel. If it only cancels the full order, cancel the whole order, wait for confirmation, then reorder a single dress.
You should see: The unwanted duplicate order is canceled, or you know packing has locked it.
Contact SHEIN if Cancel is unavailable
Use in-app customer service chat with the order number and ask to remove the extra item or cancel before shipment.
You should see: Support cancels, splits, or explains that you must return after delivery.
Refuse or return after shipping
If it ships, refuse delivery where available or start a return as soon as it arrives, following SHEIN’s return steps for unworn items with tags.
You should see: You return the extra dress within policy and receive the refund method SHEIN confirms.

Extra tips
What to look for: Cancel Order button; order status (unpaid, processing, packed, shipped); return window after delivery
Before you change anything: Do not place another paid order until you know whether the first will cancel. Screenshot the order number and status. Use only the official SHEIN app or site. Avoid third parties who offer to “stop the warehouse” for a fee.
