How do I cancel an unwanted AskTech.support subscription?

Answer

Find the original charge on your bank/App Store/Play Store statement to see who billed you, then cancel in that same place—Apple Subscriptions, Google Play subscriptions, or the AskTech.support account portal. Dispute unrecognized charges with your bank if you never subscribed, and stop sharing passwords with anyone offering to cancel for you.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Do not allow remote control software from people who cold-call about virus or subscription problems.

Follow these steps

  1. Identify the billing channel

Check bank/PayPal/Apple/Google emails for AskTech.support or similar merchant text. Note whether Apple, Google, or a direct website charged you.

You should see: You know which account must cancel the subscription.

  2. Cancel in Apple or Google subscriptions if listed

iPhone: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Android: Play Store > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Cancel the AskTech or matching item and save confirmation.

You should see: The store shows the subscription as canceled or set to expire.

  3. Cancel on the AskTech site if billed directly

Sign in at the official AskTech.support site using a typed address, open account/billing, and turn off auto-renew or cancel the plan. Change the account password afterward.

You should see: The website confirms cancellation and no further renewals.

  4. Dispute unauthorized charges

If you never signed up, contact your bank or card issuer to dispute the charge and ask them to block future merchant billing. Report remote-access scams to appropriate consumer channels if you were pressured on a call.

You should see: Unauthorized billing is disputed and future charges are blocked where possible.

Extra tips

What to look for: Merchant name on the statement; subscription entry under Apple/Google; AskTech.support login email; cancel or auto-renew toggle

Before you change anything: Screenshot the charge details. Do not grant remote access to cancel a subscription. Change passwords if you shared them with a support seller. Prefer in-account cancel over phone numbers from pop-ups.
