How do I find the Android apps icon after resetting a SuperBox?

Answer

After a SuperBox reset, open the box’s Apps or Application list from Settings, or look for a folder/row that includes Android apps / Apps. Sign into Google Play if prompted, then reinstall or unpin missing shortcuts. A factory reset often returns the launcher to defaults, so the green icon may simply be unpinned rather than deleted from the system.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Do not sideload “missing Android icon” APKs from unofficial websites.
  • Another factory reset will wipe downloaded apps and custom home layout again.

Follow these steps

  1. Open Apps from Settings

Press Home, open Settings, then go to Apps, Applications, or Apps & notifications. Scroll for the Android apps, Apps, or Play Store entry and open it.

You should see: You can see installed apps even if the green home icon is missing.

  2. Check Play Store sign-in

Open Play Store. If it asks for a Google account, sign in with your own account on the official prompt, then wait for the app list to load.

You should see: Play Store opens and shows apps available for the box.

  3. Pin the Apps shortcut again

From the Apps list, highlight Android apps / Apps, open the menu (often the remote’s options or Hold/OK menu), and choose Add to favorites, Pin to home, or similar. Some SuperBox launchers also have an Edit home / Customize row option.

You should see: A green Apps icon or Apps row returns on the home screen.

  4. Confirm system version if menus differ

Go to Settings > About or System and note the Android TV OS version and SuperBox model. Use that model’s official support PDF or site if the launcher labels differ.

You should see: You match on-screen menus to the correct model instructions.

Extra tips

What to look for: Settings > Apps / Applications; Play Store sign-in prompts; home-screen edit or “add icon” options; About / Android TV OS version

Before you change anything: Keep the box on a stable power and Wi-Fi connection. Have your Google account ready if Play Store asks to sign in. Avoid random APK downloads from unofficial sites. Note your SuperBox model (for example S6 Max) before changing launcher settings.
