How do I fix Hulu login problems on a Samsung smart TV?

Answer

Sign out of Hulu on the TV, reinstall the Hulu app, restart the TV, then sign in with the email that owns the active Hulu subscription. Avoid mixing profiles or passwords from a different household account.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Only enter passwords on the official Hulu app or hulu.com.

Follow these steps

  1. Sign out of Hulu

Open Hulu on the TV, open app settings, and sign out if the option is available.

You should see: Hulu returns to a clean sign-in screen.

  2. Reinstall the Hulu app

Go to TV Settings > Apps > Hulu and choose Reinstall or Delete, then install Hulu again from the app store.

You should see: A fresh Hulu app installs.

  3. Power-cycle the TV

Unplug the TV for 60 seconds, plug it back in, and open Hulu.

You should see: Hulu loads without the previous frozen login state.

  4. Sign in with the subscription email

Sign in using the Hulu account email tied to the paid subscription, then complete any TV code login on a phone if prompted.

You should see: Hulu browses normally and entitled channels appear.

Extra tips

What to look for: Hulu stuck on login; Samsung TV; wrong email or partner password; missing local channels after account change.

Before you change anything: Confirm which email pays for Hulu. Have that password or a magic-code login ready. Use only the official Hulu app from the TV’s app store.
