How do I put a Status ProX device into pairing mode?
Answer
Power the Status ProX on, then use its pairing button sequence from the manual—often a long-press until the LED flashes a pairing pattern. Turn Bluetooth on in the phone, keep the devices close, and forget any old Status ProX Bluetooth entry before retrying.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Only install the companion app from an official app store listing.
Follow these steps
Clear old Bluetooth bonds
On the phone, go to Bluetooth settings, forget any existing Status ProX entry, and disable Bluetooth on other nearby phones that may auto-reconnect.
You should see: No stale ProX bond remains on the phone you will use.
Enter pairing mode
Power on the ProX and long-press the pairing control until the LED shows the pairing flash pattern described in the manual.
You should see: The LED indicates pairing/discoverable mode.
Connect from the phone
Open the official app or system Bluetooth scan and select Status ProX while it is flashing.
You should see: The phone connects and the LED changes to a connected state.
Retry with a reboot
If pairing fails, reboot the phone, power-cycle the ProX, and repeat the pairing-mode long-press once more.
You should see: Pairing completes on the second attempt.

Extra tips
What to look for: A flashing pairing LED pattern, Bluetooth listing for Status ProX, and whether another phone still holds the connection.
Before you change anything: Charge the Status ProX. Install the official companion app if required. Turn off battery saver that kills Bluetooth scanning. Keep the phone within a few feet during pairing.
