Why can’t I use a moto g62 SIM tray in a moto g86?

Do not force a g62 tray into a g86. Use a replacement SIM tray sold specifically for the moto g86 5G, and put only the SIM sizes that model supports into the correct slots.
Follow these steps
Remove the incompatible tray
Power off the g86 and take out the g62 tray carefully without prying against the frame.
You should see: The wrong tray is out of the phone.
Install a g86 tray
Insert a replacement tray listed for moto g86 5G with the nano-SIM oriented to the tray diagram.
You should see: The tray seats flush with the frame.
Place supported SIMs only
Install the SIM configuration the g86 supports—often one nano-SIM plus another SIM/eSIM arrangement depending on variant—then power on.
