How do I fix photos not displaying in the Zangi app on Android?

Answer

Update Zangi from the Play Store, allow Photos/Storage and Contacts permissions, clear the app cache, then reopen the same photo on Wi‑Fi. Reinstall only if images still fail after a cache clear.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Clearing app data or reinstalling can remove locally stored chats that were not backed up.
  • Only install Zangi from Google Play to avoid fake messaging apps.

Follow these steps

  1. Update Zangi

Open the Play Store, search for Zangi, and install any available update.

You should see: Zangi shows as up to date.

  2. Check app permissions

Go to Settings > Apps > Zangi > Permissions and allow Photos/Storage (and Contacts if chats depend on them).

You should see: Required permissions show Allowed.

  3. Clear Zangi cache

In App info, open Storage and tap Clear cache (not Clear storage/data yet). Reopen Zangi and try a photo on Wi‑Fi.

You should see: Images load, or they still fail after cache refresh.

  4. Reinstall if needed

If photos still fail, uninstall Zangi, reinstall from Play Store, sign in, and test media again.

You should see: Photos display correctly after fresh install.

Extra tips

What to look for: Blank thumbnails, spinning loaders, or missing contacts inside Zangi while other apps still show photos.

Before you change anything: Confirm you can sign back into Zangi. Note whether contacts were stored only in Zangi or also in the phone’s Contacts app. Avoid clearing all data until cache-only steps fail.
