How do I reactivate SiriusXM in a truck after a free trial expired?

Note the Radio ID / ESN from the truck radio’s SiriusXM info screen, sign in or create an account at the official SiriusXM site, and choose a new plan or free trial offer for that Radio ID. The in-dash “call for help” message usually means the trial ended—not that the radio hardware failed.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Be cautious of third-party “free forever Sirius” sites that ask for remote access or upfront fees.

Follow these steps

  1. Get the Radio ID

    On the truck radio, open SiriusXM > Settings/Info (or tune to channel 0 depending on the head unit) and write down the Radio ID / ESN.

    You should see: You have the ID required to refresh service.

  2. Activate online

    In a browser, open the official SiriusXM activate/subscribe page, enter the Radio ID, and sign in with the old account or create one. Select a plan or current trial offer.

    You should see: Checkout completes and SiriusXM says service will refresh shortly.

  3. Refresh the radio

    Park with a clear sky view if needed, keep the radio on a SiriusXM channel for several minutes, or power-cycle the truck. Try channel 1 or a known preview channel after activation.

    You should see: Full channels return instead of the call-for-help prompt.

  4. Use official support if it stays locked

    If channels do not unlock within the stated refresh time, contact SiriusXM through the account Help using your Radio ID and confirmation—not a number from a pop-up ad.

    You should see: Support refreshes the signal or corrects the account link.
