How do I find my Spectrum Wi-Fi name and password for a new iPhone?

The Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password are printed on a sticker on the Spectrum modem/router—often on the side or bottom. If the print is too small, magnify it with a phone camera, check a computer already on the network for the saved password, or view the network name and key in the official Spectrum app or account. Never read the password aloud to unexpected callers.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Do not share your Wi-Fi password or Spectrum account login with unexpected callers—even if they ask for your full name first.
- Changing the Wi-Fi password on the router will disconnect every device that used the old password.
Follow these steps
Read the gateway sticker with magnification
Find the Spectrum modem/router and look for the sticker listing Wi-Fi Name and Wi-Fi Password. Use reading glasses, a magnifier, or your phone’s camera zoom and flashlight to read it clearly. Write the values on paper.
You should see: You have the SSID and password written down accurately.
Or reveal the password from a PC already online
On a Windows PC already on Spectrum Wi-Fi, click the Wi-Fi icon, open Network & Internet settings, then the connected network’s Wireless Properties > Security and show the network security key. On a Mac, check Keychain Access for that Wi-Fi network if available.
You should see: The saved password is visible so you can type it on the iPhone.
Or use the Spectrum app
Install or open the official Spectrum app, sign in to your account, and open the home Wi-Fi / network section to view or temporarily show the Wi-Fi name and password.
You should see: The current Wi-Fi credentials appear in the official app.
Join the network on the iPhone
On the iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, tap the Spectrum network name, enter the password carefully, and wait for a checkmark. Use 2.4 GHz if a separate guest or IoT network is listed and the main band fails.
You should see: The iPhone shows connected Wi-Fi and can load a webpage.
