How do I change or remove the default payment method on Visible?
Answer
In the Visible app or website, open Account or Payment settings, turn off Autopay if it blocks removal, then add a new payment method and set it as default before deleting the old one. Visible usually requires at least one valid payment method on file for an active line.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Turning off Autopay can lead to service interruption if a bill is not paid on time.
- Use only the official Visible app or website—fake payment portals are common scam targets.
Follow these steps
Open Visible payment settings
Sign in to the official Visible app or website and go to Account, Billing, or Payment methods.
You should see: You see the cards or payment methods on file and whether Autopay is enabled.
Add a new payment method first
Add the card or payment method you want to keep, then set it as the default if the app offers that option.
You should see: A second valid payment method appears and can be marked default.
Adjust Autopay if needed
If the app blocks removal with a message about Autopay, turn Autopay off or point Autopay at the new default method, then try removing the old card again.
You should see: The old payment method can be deleted, or you get a clear reason it must stay.
Confirm the next charge path
Review Billing for the upcoming charge date and confirm only the intended method is listed as default.
You should see: Future Visible charges should use the payment method you kept.

Extra tips
What to look for: Payment methods list, Default badge, Autopay toggle, and any message that prevents turning autopay off or deleting a card
Before you change anything: Have a replacement card or payment method ready. Sign in only at visible.com or the official Visible app. Do not share full card numbers in chat or with unexpected callers. Note your next bill date before changing autopay.
