How do I restore Visible service after a failed number transfer?
Answer
A failed Visible port can leave both devices without service and block app login codes. Use Wi-Fi to recover account access through email, then contact Visible support to complete or roll back the transfer.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Do not share Visible login codes with anyone who contacts you outside the official app or website.
- Erasing phones during a stuck port can make account recovery harder.
Follow these steps
Search email for Visible login messages
On Wi-Fi, check inbox, spam, and junk for messages with a subject like Log in to Visible and open the newest official code email.
You should see: You obtain a working login code or magic link from Visible.
Sign in and check port status
Open the Visible app or website over Wi-Fi, sign in, and look for number transfer, porting, or SIM/eSIM activation status.
You should see: You can see whether the transfer is pending, failed, or waiting on a carrier step.
Contact Visible support over Wi-Fi chat
Start Visible support chat from the app or website, explain that both phones lost calling during the transfer, and ask them to complete the port or restore service to one working line.
You should see: Support refreshes provisioning and restores calling on the intended phone.
Reactivate the working SIM or eSIM
Follow Visible’s instructions to reinstall or toggle the eSIM/SIM on the phone that should keep the number, then restart and test a call.
You should see: One phone regains service and can receive future verification texts.

Extra tips
What to look for: Log in to Visible email messages, spam/junk folders, transfer or port status in the app, and whether either SIM/eSIM still shows service.
Before you change anything: Stay on Wi-Fi so you can reach Visible chat without cellular. Search spam for Visible login emails before requesting endless new codes. Do not erase both phones while the port is unresolved. Never share Visible one-time codes with unexpected callers.
