How do I transfer SiriusXM from an old car to a new car?

Sign in to your SiriusXM account, choose transfer service to another vehicle, enter the new car’s Radio ID, and complete activation. Station presets often need to be set again on the new radio after transfer.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Enter account details only on the official SiriusXM site or app.
Follow these steps
Find the new Radio ID
In the new car, turn on SiriusXM and tune to channel 0 (or open the radio’s SiriusXM info menu) and write down the Radio ID.
You should see: You have the new vehicle’s Radio ID characters.
Start a vehicle transfer in the account
Sign in at the official SiriusXM account page and choose the option to transfer or move service to another vehicle.
You should see: You are prompted for the new Radio ID and vehicle details.
Complete transfer and refresh the radio
Enter the new Radio ID, confirm removal from the old vehicle if asked, then wait a few minutes with the new car radio on SiriusXM.
You should see: Channels unlock on the new car and the old car eventually loses subscription access.
Rebuild presets on the new radio
Save your favorite channels again on the new stereo; transferred service does not always copy local presets.
You should see: Your preferred stations are stored on the new vehicle.
