How do I create or fix a TV provider account for live channels?
Answer
Sign up or sign in with your cable/satellite/streaming-TV provider through the official app or website, complete any ID or household verification on the primary home network, then sign into that same provider on the TV channel apps. Preview-only channels usually mean the TV app is not authenticated to an active subscription yet.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Do not share provider passwords or one-time codes with unexpected callers—even if they ask for your full name first.
- Unofficial “free channel account” services are commonly fraudulent.
Follow these steps
Confirm the provider subscription
On a phone or computer, sign into your cable or live-TV provider’s official account page and confirm the plan is active and includes the channels you want.
You should see: The provider account shows active service.
Sign the TV app into that provider
On the TV, open the channel or live-TV app, choose Sign In, and authenticate with the same provider (QR code or activation code is fine). Avoid “free unlock” sites.
You should see: Preview labels clear and full live video plays.
Complete household verification if asked
If the provider asks to verify home/ID, finish those steps on the primary home connection. Wait the stated time, then retry the TV app.
You should see: Household checks pass and the TV session upgrades from preview.
Refresh if one channel still previews
Sign out/in on that app, reboot the TV, and test another channel. If only certain channels fail, contact the provider with the channel numbers through official support.
You should see: All entitled channels play, or support flags a packaging/rights issue.

Extra tips
What to look for: Preview watermark; “sign in to watch”; provider authentication screens; successful login on phone but not TV; channel-specific errors after 15 minutes
Before you change anything: Have your provider account email and password ready—enter them only on official screens. Prefer signing in on home Wi-Fi for household checks. Do not read codes to unexpected callers. Know which provider bills you (cable, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live, etc.).
