How do I fix missing Bluetooth on a Samsung TV?

Open Settings > Sound or General/Network menus and look for Bluetooth audio device lists. Some Samsung models only support Bluetooth for audio accessories and hide the menu until Sound output is set correctly; others lack Bluetooth hardware entirely. Update the TV software, temporarily turn off nearby paired phones that steal the connection, then retry pairing in Bluetooth device mode.

Follow these steps

  1. Confirm the model supports Bluetooth

    Read the model on the TV’s back label and check Samsung’s official specs for Bluetooth. If the model has no Bluetooth, use HDMI ARC/optical for audio instead.

    You should see: You know whether Bluetooth should exist on this TV.

  2. Open the Sound Bluetooth menu

    Go to Settings > Sound > Sound Output (wording varies) and select Bluetooth speaker/headphones listing. Start pairing mode on the accessory and select it on the TV.

    You should see: The accessory appears and connects, or the menu is truly missing.

  3. Reduce interference from other devices

    Turn Bluetooth off on nearby phones/tablets that previously paired to the accessory, move closer to the TV, and retry pairing.

    You should see: The TV can stay connected without another device stealing the link.

  4. Update or reset network/smart hub if needed

    Install Support > Software Update. If Bluetooth still fails on a supported model, power-drain the TV and retry. Use optical/HDMI ARC as a workaround while seeking Samsung support.
