How can I browse the internet on a Sony Bravia TV?
Answer
Many Sony Bravia models have limited or no full desktop-style browser. Use the TV’s built-in apps when possible, or cast/mirror a phone, tablet, or computer browser to the TV for full websites.

- Sideloading random browser APKs can create security and stability problems on Android TV.
Follow these steps
Confirm network and look for a browser app
Connect the Bravia to Wi-Fi, open the apps list, and search for Browser or Internet. Try opening it once if present.
You should see: Either a basic browser launches, or you confirm no usable browser app is available.
Check for a system update
Go to Settings > System > About > System software update and install any official update, then recheck for browser or app improvements.
You should see: The TV is current; browser support may improve slightly, though many models still lack full browsing.
Cast or mirror from another device
On your phone, tablet, or computer, use Screen mirroring, Google Cast, or AirPlay as supported by the Bravia, then browse on that device while showing it on the TV.
You should see: Websites display on the TV through the mirrored or cast session.
Prefer native apps when available
For common services, install the dedicated Bravia app instead of browsing the website.
You should see: Media and services play more reliably than through a limited TV browser.

Extra tips
What to look for: Whether a Browser app exists, software update availability, and Screen mirroring / Chromecast built-in options.
Before you change anything: Connect the TV to Wi-Fi first. Update TV software only from official Sony settings. Avoid unknown APK browser sideloads that can break the TV. Do not share account passwords while casting.
