How do I remotely lock or erase a Samsung phone I no longer have?

Sign into Find My Mobile (or Google Find My Device) with the Samsung/Google account that was on the Note 9, lock or erase it, then ask the carrier to suspend the line.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Remote erase permanently deletes data on the phone and can stop further tracking.
- Only use official Samsung/Google lost-device sites—fake “tracking” pages steal account passwords.
Follow these steps
Open Find My Mobile
On a computer or another phone, open Samsung’s official Find My Mobile website and sign in with the Samsung account used on the Note 9.
You should see: The Note 9 appears in the device list as online or offline.
Lock the phone immediately
Select the Note 9 and choose Lock. Set a PIN/message if prompted so the phone cannot be used without that code.
You should see: The device is locked to prevent casual access.
Erase if you need a factory reset
If you must wipe personal data, choose Erase/Factory reset in Find My Mobile and confirm. Understand this deletes data on the phone and may remove it from tracking afterward.
You should see: A remote wipe is sent when the phone next comes online.
Also try Google Find My Device
If Samsung Find My Mobile does not list the phone, open Google’s Find My Device with the Google account that was on the Note 9 and attempt Secure device or Erase.
You should see: Google’s tools lock or erase the phone if it is still linked.
Suspend the carrier line
Contact your mobile carrier to suspend or block the SIM/line so calls, texts, and mobile data cannot continue under your number.
You should see: The line is suspended and cannot be used on that handset.
