How do I get a Consumer Cellular phone working for calls and maps in Canada?

Follow these steps

   Toggle Airplane Mode

   Turn Airplane mode on for 30 seconds, then turn it off so the phone rescans networks.

   You should see: The phone begins searching for Canadian carriers.

   Enable data roaming if allowed

   Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks and turn on Data roaming only if Consumer Cellular says your plan includes Canada roaming.

   You should see: Roaming is on for an eligible plan, or you know you must use Wi‑Fi instead.
