Why can’t I watch the next season of a series on Netflix?
Answer
Next seasons are often missing because they are not released in your region yet, are blocked on your plan, or the TV app needs a refresh—not because the TV is broken.
Before you start: stop right away if…
- Do not use unofficial apps or sites that claim to unlock seasons early.
Follow these steps
Confirm availability on another device
On a phone or computer, open Netflix, sign into the same account, and check whether the next season appears for that title.
You should see: You see whether the season exists for your account/region.
Check plan and profile
In Netflix Account settings on a browser, confirm your plan is active and you are using the correct profile on the TV.
You should see: Account status and profile choice are confirmed.
Refresh the Samsung Netflix app
On the TV, open Apps, find Netflix, update it if an update is offered, then force-close and reopen Netflix.
You should see: The app reloads with a current catalog.
Sign out and sign back in
In the Netflix TV app, sign out, restart the TV, then sign back in and open the series again.
You should see: The missing season appears, or availability messaging is clearer.
Accept region release timing if still missing
If the season is also missing on phone/browser, wait for Netflix’s release in your country or check Netflix’s official help for that title’s availability.
You should see: You know the limit is catalog availability, not a TV fault.

Extra tips
What to look for: Whether the next season appears grayed out, missing, or errors when you try to play it
Before you change anything: Confirm you are signed into the correct Netflix profile. Note any on-screen message about availability or plan. Avoid third-party “unlock season” sites or callers.
